Bereavement group starts up

BRATTLEBORO- A new bereavement support group for adults who have lost a parent begins Thursday, November 7, and will meet every first and third Thursday of the month from 5 to 6:30 pm.
This will be an ongoing group with rolling enrollment. Participation is free of charge and open to anyone in the community grieving the death loss of a loved one, no matter when or where the loss occurred.  Bereavement support groups offer a safe, mutually supportive environment for sharing experiences through discussion, readings, simple activities, and suggestions for moving through grief.  
The group will meet at the hospice office at 191 Canal Street. Lars Hunter, the bereavement program coordinator at BAH, will facilitate the group. Interested individuals must meet with Hunter prior to joining the group. Call him at (802) 257-0775, ext. 104, for a pre-group appointment.
