Towns awarded transport funds
SOUTHERN VERMONT - The Vermont Agency of Transportation has announced the recipients of more than $2 million in federal funds for municipal grant projects under the Transportation Alternatives Program. This year’s funding will be used for all TAP category types throughout Vermont.
The selected projects include a salt and sand shed in Wardsboro and a shared-use path in Bennington. In Rockingham, funds will be used for an intersection-scoping study for a complete streets upgrade. In Putney, they will be used for a bicycle and pedestrian shared-use path-scoping study.
The TAP committee includes representatives from AOT, the Agency of Natural Resources, and the Vermont Association of Planning and Development Agencies. For more information visit https://vtrans.vermont.gov/highway/local-projects/transport-alt.
