Panel discussion on cannabis industry
BRATTLEBORO- The Brattleboro Area Chamber of Commerce invites the public to attend a panel discussion on the ins and outs of the cannabis industry. This chamber Breakfast Series event will take place on Thursday, September 5, from 7:30 to 9:30 am at the American Legion, 32 Linden Street. Tickets are $20 and include a full buffet breakfast. RSVP is required.
Vermont legalized the sale of medical marijuana in 2004, but cannabis remains illegal under federal law. And while the Vermont Legislature has been debating a tax-and-regulate system for retail sales, no bill has passed both chambers.
This informative discussion will explore the future of the cannabis industry in Vermont. Topics to be discussed include banking and finance, education, advertising, regulation, and current and future state and federal laws. In addition, the panel will take questions from the audience.
The unique panel of experts includes: Bridget Conry, Director of Marketing, Champlain Valley Dispensary; Sen. Becca Balint, Windham County; Cary Giguere, Director, Public Health, Agricultural Resource Management, Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets; David Harlow, attorney; Cassandra Holloway, Coalition Director, Brattleboro Area Prevention Coalition; Sen. Jeanette White, Windham County; and Dan Yates, President and CEO, Brattleboro Savings and Loan.
Anyone interested in attending should RSVP at (802) 254-4565 or Greg@BrattleboroChamber.org.
