WILMINGTON: The MOOver is buying three used buses to replace vehicles that will soon be retired.
The company has recently begun purchasing high-quality, low mileage used buses instead of new ones. It can take up to 16 months to receive a new bus order, and the MOOver can purchase two or three used vehicles for the price of one new one.
Used buses are purchased from mid-Atlantic and southern states, they have no rust, are low mileage, were used by nursing homes and town recreation departments, and were built to the same specifications as a bus purchased new.
