Market has high demand for lower-priced properties

DEERFIELD VALLEY- Local real estate professionals say the market is a bit of a mixed bag right now. Sellers of lower-priced properties are seeing quick results, while shoppers for higher-end homes can look for bargains in a slower-moving price category.
“The market is strong if a home is priced under $300,000,” said Betsy Wadsworth, president of the Southern Vermont Board of Realtors and a real estate agent for Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Real Estate in Dover. “Inventory is low and things below $300,000 are moving fast.”
