Women’s weekend a natural fit for local business community

WILMINGTON - Wilmington Works Program Coordinator Meg Staloff says an upcoming weekend of events geared toward, and in celebration of women dubbed “Wilmington Women’s Weekend,” is a natural fit for a town that has a business community largely steered by women.
“The businesses in this town are mostly run by women,” says Staloff. “Powerful, strong women.” According to statistics available from Wilmington Works, 80% of the businesses in Wilmington’s downtown district are owned by women.
