Higley Hill slaughterhouse reopens

WILMINGTON- Last October, a new slaughterhouse opened to deliver high quality meat to residents of the Deerfield Valley. Hogan Sennett, operations manager of Southshire Meats, has reopened Higley Hill Processing, a facility at the Adams Farm that was decommissioned in 2015. Southshire Meats has done this with the help of the Regenerative Food Network, a group of projects that is trying to reestablish agricultural infrastructure technology and resources in the Northeast, specifically southern Vermont, western Massachusetts, and eastern New York.
