Bookstore has become integral part of community during its 30 years

Bookseller Maria Cunningham, manager Ana McDaniel, and owner Lisa Sullivan at Bartleby’s Books. The store is celebrating its 30th anniversary this weekend.

WILMINGTON - On Saturday, Bartleby’s Books will hold a celebration to honor the 30th anniversary of its opening. The event will take place during Wilmington’s “Village Stroll,” from 5 to 7 pm.
On Tuesday, bookseller Maria Cunningham and manager Ana McDaniel were already in the spirit, hanging a celebration banner over the store’s cash register. On Saturday, more festivity will be added to the space, including snacks from Spoonwood Cabin Creamery and Folly, a trivia game about the store, and new Bartleby’s tote bags, free with each purchase while they last.
