Market owner loves relationships, continues family legacy

WILMINGTON - Midday on Tuesday, Farmhouse Market owner David Petrie was moving between tasks with enthusiasm. He was awaiting a new roadside sign for the store. He was giving his brother, in town from Boston, a tour of the market, explaining the array of items he sells. Then around 1:30 pm, Thelma Boyd pulled up in her car. Petrie walked toward the car and greeted her with enthusiasm.
“This is part of why I love my job — because Thelma comes in,” Petrie said. He returned from the car with a bag, which held cartons of eggs, Boyd in tow.
