School hosts virtual tour

DOVER- The Dover School’s pre-K teacher, Lindsey Brown-Rosso, will be hosting a virtual pre-K tour and question and answer session on Friday, May 29, at 10 am for families interested in enrolling their child this fall.
Until they are able to offer an in-person visit, school officials are hoping this will provide an opportunity to learn more about the pre-K program.
The Dover School supports publicly-funded pre-K under Act 166 for children between the ages of 3 and 5, for a maximum of 10 hours per week for 35 weeks per year.  Students from towns other than Dover are welcome to register.
Students must be 3 before September 1,  for the Group 3 program, and 4 before September 1, for the Group 5 program. Group 3 meets Tuesday through Thursday from 8 to 11:20 am. Group 5 meets Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 2:45 pm and Friday from 8 am to 11:20 am.
Dover School’s pre-K program’s focus is to create positive first formal learning experiences in a warm, trusting environment, and work to build strong relationships between teacher, child and classmates.  The curriculum supports children to learn how to function as part of a group and develop strong social-emotional skills, as well as foundational early academic skills.
