Think outside the building blocks
BRATTLEBORO- The Brattleboro Museum and Art Center invites creators of all ages to design and build original LEGO sculptures and display them at the museum in the 12th annual LEGO Contest and Exhibit, taking place November 7 through November 11.
The museum will display every entry submitted to the contest. A panel of judges will award prizes based on creativity and craftsmanship in six age groups from preschool to adult and adult-child collaborations. Every contestant will receive a personalized certificate of participation and two complimentary passes valid for unlimited admission to the museum for the duration of the LEGO Contest and Exhibit.
Entries must be delivered to the museum on Tuesday, November 5, from 4 to 6 pm, along with an entry form and $5 entry fee. Special arrangements to deliver entries earlier may be made by calling (802) 257-0124, ext. 101. The opening reception and awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 7, at 6 pm. Admission to the awards ceremony is $5 for adults and teens, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for members and children 5 and under.
The event is sponsored by G.S. Precision, Brattleboro Subaru, and Don Robinson Builder. Prizes include gift certificates to Toy City in Keene, NH.
