Steel celebrates love through her photography
WILMINGTON- Bartleby’s Books is hosting its annual show of Nicki Steel’s photography throughout the month of February. Entitled “Home Is Where The Heart Is,” Steel’s show is a celebration of love. It includes her endearing “Hearts in Nature” series, and also a selection of photos which highlight landscapes and scenery from the Deerfield Valley. This year Steel will be able to calligraph a short inscription on enlargements, a perfect Valentine’s Day gift.
Bartleby’s is featuring Steel for a meet and greet as its first event in the Apres Ski After 3 series organized by Wilmington Works through the month of February. Visitors are invited to meet Steel at Bartleby’s from 4 to 5:30 pm on Saturday, February 2. She will be showing a slideshow of her favorite wildlife photos, and also kicking off a month-long contest.
A series of photos will be onhand featuring points of local interest, and participants can try guessing the location from which each photo was taken. Steel will be sharing hints on the afternoon of her meet and greet, and visitors are encouraged to stop by and compare local knowledge.
Participants with the most right answers can enter to win first and second prizes, awarded at the end of February.
Bartleby’s Books is located at 17 West Main Street in the historic downtown and is open daily, 10 am to 6 pm. For more information call (802) 464-5425, email bartbookvt@gmail.com or visit www.myvermontbookstore.com.
