Looking for entries for upcoming photography exhibition
BRATTLEBORO- The Vermont Center for Photography, 49 Flat Street, has announced the 2019 Open Juried Exhibition call for entries. Doing things a little differently this year, VCP is seeking a broad range of exhibition-ready bodies of work, including both traditional and nontraditional approaches to photography. The guest juror will be asked to select between eight to 10 artists for exhibition, and will then select between two and five pieces per person, offering artists the opportunity to showcase a series at a deeper level than most juried shows and enriching the viewing experience for visitors to the gallery as well.
This vibrant group show is the keynote exhibition of the entire year – and VCP is very pleased and honored to have photographer and former director of the Photographic Resource Center in Boston, Bruce Myren, as the guest juror for this show. Organizers encourage photographers of all ages, regions, styles, and experience levels to participate in this show. It is an outstanding opportunity to become a part of a larger national community of photo-talent and to hang work alongside other immensely talented individuals.
This call is open to any photographer anywhere. Both VCP Members and nonmembers are invited to participate in the show. There is no age restriction nor is there any restriction on subject matter, style or photographic medium. VCP members must be current with their membership dues to receive the discounted entry fee.
There is an entry fee of $20 for nonmembers, $15 for VCP members, and $10 for students. If the entry fee cost is prohibitive email firstname.lastname@example.org for details on scholarship opportunities. The deadline to submit entries is Friday, February 1.
