Fall open studio tours

Aurora leaves by Mary Angus.
Synergy by Bill Lequier

READSBORO- Mary Angus and Bill Lequier of Readsboro Glassworks will be welcoming visitors to their studio on Saturday, October 13, and Sunday, October 14, from 10 am to 5 pm during the Vermont Fall Open Studio weekend.
Working together in the glass studio they share, both artists create their own distinctive work. LeQuier’s complex glass sculptures are both powerful and fluid, capturing the harmonious and erratic forces found in nature, while Angus creates exquisite blown glass vessels with graceful forms and soft colors. Stop in to see their latest work and watch one of the glassblowing or sandblasting demonstrations ongoing throughout the weekend.
Readsboro Glassworks is joining 94 other studios throughout Vermont for this annual event. The self-guided open studio tour features the work of glassblowers, jewelers, printmakers, potters, furniture makers, weavers, ironworkers, painters, sculptors, quilt makers and wood carvers. Look for the bright yellow open studio signs directing visitors to each studio.
Readsboro Glassworks, # 36 on the tour map, is located at 6954 Main Street, Route 100. For more information call (802) 423-7706 or visit www.maryangusglass.com.
