Celebrate crafts with a tour

PUTNEY- The public is invited to celebrate craft, culinary, and performance during the Putney Craft Tour, and visit 25 working studios that feature glass blowers, potters, jewelers, weavers, woodworkers, photographers – even artisan cheesemakers and bicycle makers.
Visitors will have the opportunity to find that one-of-a-kind gift and buy direct from the artisan who made it. Part of the fun is meandering through the beautiful Vermont countryside, following the map to find these prominent craftspeople, and viewing the works where they are conceived and created. All studios are within a 12-mile radius of Putney.
This event happens for three days during Thanksgiving weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 23, 24, and 25, from10 am to 5 pm, at 133 Main Street. The tour includes wine and cheese tastings as well as demos. Next Stage Arts and Sandglass Theater have performances at night.
Visitors may start at The Gleanery Restaurant, 133 Main Street. Admission is free. For more information call (802) 387-4032  or visit www.putneycrafts.com.
