My sixth-grade class is doing an lB project on immigration/migration and I choose to do my project on migration of birds. I am doing my project on the whip-poor-will because it is being threatened by climate change. The bird doesn’t know when to migrate to Mexico.

The whip-poor-will has been heard and spotted less and less. Audubon scientists have used hundreds of thousands of citizen observations and climate models to predict that the birds do and are reacting to the climate change.

For the action part of my project, I would like to make more people aware of the birds that are being threatened by climate change and that when you turn your ignition in your car or throw trash out your window you could be killing thousands of living creatures. Next time you think about littering or turning on your car there is always some other alternative.
