BRATTLEBORO- Artist Nathalie Miebach will give a free talk about her artwork at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center on Thursday, August 17, at 7:30 pm.

Miebach has spent the past 13 years seeking to understand and illuminate the effects of climate change and extreme weather through an innovative art practice based on basket weaving. Miebach gave a TED talk about her work at TED Global in 2011, and she was the subject of a short documentary video entitled “The Weather Artist: Chasing Storms With Sculpture,” produced by The Great Big Story in 2016. It was that video that brought her to the attention of BMAC.

“Lost Porches: Nathalie Miebach” is on view at BMAC through October 8.

Located in historic Union Station at 10 Vernon Street, the museum is wheelchair accessible. For more information call (802) 257-0124 or visit
