I am writing to express my deep gratitude to Mount Snow and the businesses and individuals of the Mount Snow Valley whose magnificent generosity has made it possible for children and adults with disabilities to discover the freedom and sense of accomplishment that comes with learning to ski/ride at Mount Snow.
Kelly Pawlak, Erik Barnes, and the entire team at the mountain make it possible for AbilityPLUS to enrich the lives of people with disabilities who experience the confidence and self-esteem that accompany skiing and riding. The businesses and individuals of the Mount Snow Valley donated raffle and auction items that contributed to our raising more than $40,000 during the recent AbilityPLUS Winterfest Ski-a-Thon, and Après Party. All these funds stay in the valley to support our life changing programs for local school children, soldiers disabled during active duty, and all individuals who wish to participate, whatever their disability, whatever their financial situation.
Mount Snow, and all the businesses and individuals who support AbilityPLUS Winterfest, have given a girl, who because of her disability would not otherwise be able to join her peers on a school ski outing, the chance to leave her wheelchair behind for a day of freedom and inclusion on the slopes, and are providing countless others with disabilities the opportunity to reach their full potential.
On behalf of our ever-growing family of program participants, volunteers, and their families, thank you Mount Snow, and our Mount Snow Valley neighbors and friends.
AbilityPLUS at Mount Snow, Program Director
