The team received its recognition in the chambers of the House of Representatives.  Manwaring and Gov. Peter Shumlin spoke in recognition of their season.

Record-setting season lauded

Montpelier- The Twin Valley High School boys’ varsity soccer team was recognized for its outstanding season Tuesday at the Vermont Statehouse. Local state reps. Ann Manwaring and John Moran co-sponsored a House resolution recognizing the team for its undefeated season, outscoring its opponents 90-1, and other acheivements.

Among those achievments was that the Wildcats tied a National Federation of State High School Associations record for fewest goals scored against a boys’ soccer team in one season. Wildcats coach Buddy Hayford was also recognized as the National Small School Soccer Coach of the Year.
