To the Editor,

The men’s cancer benefit dance at Memorial Hall on Saturday resulted in over $400 (donations are still coming in) sent to the Prostate Cancer Foundation. The dancers and friends who attended had a wonderful night of entertaining music and dance.

Thank you to the “All Star 2-Beat Band” who took time from their regular musical engagements to help with this event: Keven Parry, Bill Shontz, Rich Mayer, and Kerry Blount; the Valley Dolls for an amazing performance, watch for the video; the Rotary, the chamber, the Memorial Hall Board, Allan Greenspan, and Doris Horton, for making this event happen; Greenfield Community TV and Drew Hutchenson for shooting, editing, and mixing the video for our PSA; Stone Metal Works for the staging and logistics, and the offer of the “Wart-Hog”; and all our friends who came out and lent a hand.

Let’s continue a regular schedule of community dances for fundraising causes at Memorial Hall, perhaps Sunday afternoons. What a wonderful resource we have in that hall. Thank you all so much,

George “Jumpin’ Jersey” Adair
