I am Binh Bui from the United Way of Windham County and the Southeastern VT Irene Long-Term Recovery Committee (SEVT-LTRC). As the two-year mark of Tropical Storm Irene approaches, there are still nearly 50 families in Windham County struggling to rebuild their lives. To help these individuals, SEVT-LTRC is organizing skilled and unskilled groups of volunteers to assist with small construction, debris clean-up, and other Irene-related projects throughout Windham County. We are inviting community members, faith communities, and other civic organizations to become a part of these projects.
By becoming a volunteer, you give support to your community, learn new skills, and meet individuals in your community from different walks of life. You will be proud to be helping Windham County become more resilient after Tropical Storm Irene.
If you would like to connect with your community and be a part of our projects, please visit the United Way of Windahm County website: www.unitedwaywindham.org. Here you can sign up to volunteer and find out more about upcoming volunteer opportunities.
If you’d like any additional information, please feel free to contact Laura Schairbaum, Disaster Recovery Volunteer Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or (802) 257-4011, ext. 111 or Binh, at email@example.com.
We look forward to hearing from you!
