To the Editor,

Deerfield Valley Elementary School hosted the 18th annual Deerfield Valley Fitness day. Teams were made up of one boy and one girl from grades 1 to 6 and schools from Whitingham, Readsboro, Halifax, Stamford, Marlboro, Dover, and Wilmington were represented. All the participants worked extremely hard to achieve success.

It was a wonderful display of competition and great sportsmanship. The event went off without a hitch and a huge thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success for the kids in the valley. Thanks to the following Twin Valley High School students: Alex Kennedy, Hannah Swanson, Eli Park, Nick Nilsen, Savannah Nesbitt, and Conall Sullivan. Twin Valley Middle School volunteers who served as coaches for each grade level, as well as station assistants included: Logan Park, Skyler Boyd, Kyla Lavoy, Dylan Florence, Samantha Morse, Karlee Walkowiak, Chad Bernard, Una Langran, Caitlin Hunt, and Brett Swanson. Thanks to Jacko, Buddy Hayford, and Derek Cipriano for lending a hand throughout the day to make it a success for all the students and families.

Chris Walling and Chris Brown, Co-coordinators
