WILMINGTON- Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, and friend Vincent J. Pavese, died February 12 at Emeritus at Stafford. Born and raised in Perth Amboy, NJ, Mr. Pavese lived in North Edison, NJ, for 20 years before building his dream home in Wilmington, where he lived with his beloved wife Jean for 10 years, both enjoying their retirement. Mr. Pavese most recently resided in Manahawkin, NJ. Mr. Pavese was an avid reader and sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching sporting events with his three sons.

He was a former communicant of Blessed John Paul II Parish of St. Mary’s Church. Mr. Pavese was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School and Villanova University. He was a former member of the Perth Amboy Yacht Club where he enjoyed his passion of sailing on Raritan Bay. He was a president of the Young Democrats where he eventually met his wife Jean and served as chairman of the Perth Amboy Parking Authority.

Mr. Pavese was an owner of the Pavese-McCormick Insurance Agency in New Brunswick and Perth Amboy, NJ. He joined his father’s insurance company after serving his country in the US Navy, and worked until retiring in 1993.

He is survived by his beloved wife Jean to whom he was married for 49 years; sons, Raymond and wife, Prue, of Yardley, PA, Kenneth and wife, Doreen, of Barnegat, NJ, and Kevin, of Raleigh, NC; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9:15 am on Friday, February 15, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, Perth Amboy, Fords, followed by a 10 am funeral liturgy at Blessed John Paul II Parish of St. Mary Church, Perth Amboy. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
