Tatem is an asset to program

To the Editor:

Several years ago our grandson was a part of the Ability Plus program at Mount Snow. This program is for children with special needs, both physically and mentally, and enables them to learn how to ski. Because of the love and devotion of the director, Sue Tatem, he gained confidence, self esteem, and can ski the mountain. Since then I have become a volunteer in the program. No, I do not ski, but I am considered the “inside person” and try to help with what goes on behind the scenes. I decided that I wanted to give back to the program what it had given to our grandson.

This letter is meant to be a tribute to Sue Tatem. Being a part of her volunteer program has enabled me to say she is more than an asset to Ability Plus. She is caring, kind, compassionate, and a true example of “a woman of valor.”

Thank you, Sue, for bringing so much love to the lives of so many.
