Mr. Hughes grew up with his family in Wilmington, graduating from Wilmington High School in 2003. He continued his education attending Massachusetts state community colleges. He had briefly been a theater manager in West Dover and Brattleboro and for the past several years he was the tour manager for the band Madball. He traveled extensively with the band throughout Canada, Europe, Japan and the United States, visiting 48 states. He was passionate about music and especially loved hard-core music. He was proud of his tattoos, loved spending time in the outdoors, hiking, and carpentry, which he learned from his father Rick. He was devoted to his family, his dog Tank, and his numerous friends throughout the Northeast, whom he considered family. His motto was “family first.”
Mr. Hughes leaves his mother, sister, Jennifer and husband Johnathan Phillips, and his niece, Lydia, whom he adored. His family now resides in Essex Junction. He also leaves his godmother, Margo Ciurlino, of Arizona, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his loving friends he cared so deeply about.
