WILMINGTON- The Village Stroll Committee is up to some Halloween mischief. Most have heard of pumpkin carving, but what about pumpkin drilling? Well, that’s just what’s going to be happening on Saturday, October 27, in River Bank Park from 12 to 2 pm. Come check out pumpkin artists at work. Rain location for the pumpkin project will be the basement of Memorial Hall. Then, beginning at dusk on Saturday and each evening through Halloween, viewers will be treated to “Pumpkins in the Park at Dark.”

Between 4:30 and 6:30 pm on Halloween, don’t miss the trick-or-treating through the village as well as the pumpkin display and hot cider in River Bank Park. Trick-or-treaters should follow the ghosts to participating businesses that will have treats. Businesses that are participating in Halloween trick-or-treating will have a ghost jug displayed in their window or in front of their building. Locations include: 1836 Country Store, Anchor Seafood, Apres Vous, Bartleby’s Books, Beadz Needs, Chapman’s In-Town Antiques, Crafts Inn, Gallery Wright, Hayseed Gifts, Jezebel’s Eatery, Jim McGrath Gallery, Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce, Norton House, Pettee Library, Pickwell’s Barn, Skip Williamson Gallery, St. Mary’s in the Mountains, Split Ends, Twin Valley Creations, Vermont Country Properties Sotheby’s International, Wilmington Candle Company, The Wilmington Inn, and Wilmington Village Pub.

Following Halloween festivities in the village, head on over to the annual Halloween event at Twin Valley High School featuring games and activities for kids.
