WHITINGHAM- The Whitingham-Halifax Lions have teamed up with a local bike club to sponsor the Hungry Lion Bike Tour on Saturday, September 29. Riders can choose a scenic 30-mile or an invigorating 50-mile bicycle tour through beautiful fall foliage on winding country roads.

Riders are asked to secure pledges or donations prior to the event. All proceeds from the ride will fund the Lions Club’s local hunger-relief programs.

The tour starts at Town Hill. Motorcycle marshal assistance will be provided for the ride, which will end with a barbecue lunch for all cyclists, and some great prizes will be awarded. For more information, maps, and to register for the ride visit www.hungrylionbiketour.com.
