First and foremost a huge thank you to the entire South Newfane/Williamsville Volunteer Fire Department for evacuating the town of South Newfane. When my son and I evacuated our home, we went to the home of our aunt and uncle in East Dover. I was certain we would spend the night and return home that next day. I was very wrong. The Rock River disintegrated many sections of the Dover Road, and flooded my home and property. My ability to return to my home was due to the generosity of a lot of people and businesses. Please know I am so thankful to everyone.
My sincerest thanks to the Stone and Newell families for all of their work and support; the entire Mount Snow team for their response recovery vehicle, and all of their hard work, without the hard work of these great people, others would not have been able to get in to my home, and repair and replace what they needed to; to the wonderful teachers and families at Mount Snow Child Care for the love and support, I am so blessed to have you be part of my family; Windham County Sheriff’s Department; Newfane Town Clerk; Newfane Church; the wonderful family who have a second home in West Dover who allowed us to stay there while my house was being worked on; Todd Brown Excavating; and to all of my supportive family, friends, the Deerfield Valley, and the Rock River community.
It truly takes a community!
