I recently had the misfortune to lose my wallet in Lake Whitingham. To say I was bummed is an understatement. Like most wallets, mine contained very personal information and I was concerned about such information turning up in the wrong hands.
Much to my surprise, someone did find it. A young lady and her mother, whose name I did not catch, found my wallet and took the time to dry it out before making a special trip to my house to return it. Everything I put in that wallet was there, no damage done. The “reward” I gave the young lady was not nearly enough compared to the trouble I was saved. It is comforting to know that there are still honest people willing to step up to the plate and do the right thing. I would again like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the young lady for finding my wallet and being so eager to return it, and to her parent(s), who raised such an upstanding person.
