To the Editor:

The Dover Historical Society invites you to its annual meeting at the Dover Town Hall on Thursday, August 16. A pot luck supper at 6 pm will be followed by a talk given by Dover residents and reenactors Gary and Jeannette Eckert. This year being the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War, their topic will focus on general information about citizen life of that genre. More specifically they will come in period attire with Jeannette addressing women’s role and Gary sharing how men of the time period lived their lives. A musket, haversack, and other items will be shown. Both the Eckerts and the DHS will offer additional displays of Civil War memorabilia.
