TOWNSHEND- Daniel John Reynolds, 72, a resident of Brookline, and formerly of Whitingham, died Tuesday, July 3, at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Reynolds was born in Whitingham on January 10, 1940, the son of Clark and Gladys (Sprague) Reynolds and attended local schools. As a teenager, he started working for Sawyer Bentwood in Whitingham as a wood worker and was employed there for more than 50 years.

Mr. Reynolds loved life and had a great love for the outdoors. He was a very hard worker, enjoyed fixing things, and loved helping out anyone he could. He was a dedicated family man and cherished times spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and his dogs.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Lucinda Hoyt, whom he married in Whitingham on November 27, 1958; his children Andrea Jimenez and her husband Roy, of Clovis, NM, Melissa Reynolds and her husband Ken Bausch, of Hamilton, NY, and Holly Meyer and her husband Peter, of Brookline; his brother George Reynolds, of Whitingham; his sisters, Maxine Beecher and Lorraine Colby, of South Portland, ME, and Sally Reynolds, of Wilmington; his grandchildren Ashley Meyer, Jessica, Kevin, and Josh Young, Ted and Charlotte Bausch, and Rachael Jimenez; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers William, Clark, Wayne, Dale, and Richard Reynolds and his sister Pauline Herzig.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Reynolds will be held Saturday, July 28, at 11 am in the family lot in Sadawga Cemetery in Whitingham. Pastor John Brigham of the Community Church of Whitingham will officiate. There are no visiting hours.
