Steve Lawson returns for his 41st season at WTF to adapt this classic Sherlock Holmes caper originally written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The show will run from July 11 through 14 and July 17 through 20 on Poker Flats Field at 7 pm.
In 1987, WTF launched the popular free theater with “A Study in Scarlet,” the first Sherlock Holmes saga. Twenty-five years later, the legendary sleuth is back in this exciting new theatrical version of Conan Doyle’s final novel. What strange events in America long ago lead to a corpse in a country house? Why does a sinister “valley of fear” still have the power to haunt? Put on a crime-solving cap and lend Holmes and Dr. Watson a hand in “The Valley of Fear” where gasps and laughs are guaranteed for all.
Bring a picnic, bring the kids, and enjoy a perfect Berkshire evening of al fresco theater. Tickets to the Williamstown Theatre Festival may be purchased online at www.wtfestival.org, by phone at (413) 597-3400, or in person at the ‘62 Center for Theater and Dance box office at 1000 Main Street.
