WARDSBORO- The annual Art and Craft Show and Sale sponsored by the Friends of the Wardsboro Library will be held, rain or shine, in the library’s Red Barn, 170 Main Street, on Wednesday, July 4 and Thursday, July 5, from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission and parking are free.

Paintings, photography, graphics, fiber art, sculpture, ceramics, glass, jewelry, and more fine art crafts are beautifully showcased when the Red Barn is transformed into a glorious art gallery. Fiber art and techniques will be featured at the show. Meet the fiber artists on July 4, when they will be demonstrating weaving, wet felting, spinning, and needle felting. All will have a large selection of their merchandise on display and for sale.

A highlight of the show will be a large display of intricate needle felted people and animals created by fiber group organizer and artist Kathleen Meeks of Maybelle Farm in Wardsboro. In addition to being a sheep farmer, her many talents include knitting, crocheting, spinning yarn, dying wool, and teaching needle craft classes. Meeks and her family started raising registered Shetland sheep in 1999, the herd currently numbers thirty-two.

For more information about the show visit www.friendsofwardsborolibrary.org or call (802) 896-3416. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Wardsboro Library.
