BENNINGTON- The Bennington County Choral Society announced its final performances of the 2011-2012 choral season: its “pops” concert, “The Brothers Gershwin.” The program includes pieces with music by George Gershwin and lyrics by his brother Ira, as well as numbers by each brother with other collaborators. Performances are Saturday, June 16, at 8 pm, and Sunday, June 17, at 3 pm, at the Second Congregational Church, 115 Hillside Street.
Tickets are $15 at the door on the days of the performances, or $12 in advance from the Bennington Bookshop. Family tickets, two adults, children under 12, are available at the door for $25. Second Congregational Church is handicapped accessible.
