To the Editor:

The Deerfield Valley Rotary Club recently presented grants to several individuals and groups. In keeping with the club’s commitment to service and education, the grants awarded will assist local middle school and high school students with educational- and community-service-based travel; support service work in Haiti and Namibia by local residents; and contribute to the Deerfield Valley Community Cares heating assistance program.

Awards are made on a quarterly basis. In addition, we present two scholarships annually to graduating seniors, and two scholarships for continuing adult education.

We encourage potential applicants to contact a member of the Rotary Club for more information. Our club meets every Wednesday at 8 am at the Matterhorn Inn on Route 100 in West Dover.

Thank you,

Sarah Shippee

Secretary, Deerfield Valley Rotary Club Fund Committee
