Whether it is a fire truck, ambulance, dump truck, garbage truck, tree trimmer, paver, steamroller, tow truck or farm truck; they will all be at BMH from 10 am to 2 pm. And a few non-trucks will also be present – motorcycles, a police cruiser and perhaps a helicopter. For $5, children ($15 for families of three or more) ages 2-12 can climb on/in the trucks, talk to the drivers, and have their pictures taken. Two raffles will be held, $5 a ticket to win a childsize John Deere “gator” and $1 a ticket for a variety of prizes such as truck books, a school bus ride, Monadnock Speedway passes, and others.
New this year will be the sale of kid-size hard hats and Touch a Truck T-shirts. The Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs with 50% of the proceeds going to BMH. The Book Cellar will also be on hand selling truck books with a portion of the proceeds again going to the hospital.
Tickets can be purchased at the event or in advance online at www.bmhvt.org. The horn/siren free hour will be from 10 to 11 am and the first 200 children will receive a free truck.
