To the Editor:

Absolutely awesome Old Home Week festivities! Thanks to the many people who made a wonderful enjoyable weekend. There was a love cloud over Wilmington. I will miss many in saying my thanks but please know that the following people will be remembered forever in my heart:

Jean Fitch Blacketor: best speech I’ve heard in forever! Alice Richter: You are super. Thank you, Crafts Inn. Laurie Boyd, incredible lady! Diana Brown, would the town survive even without you? Julie Moore, youngest-looking member of the class of ‘62 and awesome.

Linda Farrington and the class of 1962 appreciate each and every one of you and the many more I have missed mentioning. Old Home Week 2010 is a wonderful memory.

Thank you, Wilmington, for a great place to grow up where the men are strong, the women are beautiful, and the children are very smart. Or however that goes at Lake Wobegon. Oh yes: What an awesome group, that class of ‘62!!
