To the Editor,

I would like to thank the American Legion Post 29, Readsboro Lions Club, the Fourth of July Committee, and all the other volunteers that came together on the weekend to create another smashing Independence Day Celebration in Readsboro. I would especially like to thank chairperson Charlotte Clark, who did a spectacular job pulling it all together for us.

Were we in the same town this past weekend? It was a collosal waste of time and energy.How many cars in the bumper match competition?four? How many attended the dance? hardly any and was deemed a flop.The 15 minute parade lasted 30 minutes and the band was so far back marchers couldnt march.No floats that I saw.Drunks playing horseshoes is always a blast.And the fireworks,need I say more. Was there any?
