MANCHESTER– The annual Komen VT/NH Race for the Cure®, which takes place this year at Hildene Meadows on Saturday, July 17, is still in need of volunteers.

Most immediately, volunteers are needed to sell raffle tickets on Saturday, June 26, and Saturday, July 3, outside the Lilly Pulitzer store in Manchester. Anyone interested in staffing a raffle table should call Mary Miller at (802) 362-0108.

Beyond that, helping hands, and lots of them, will be needed on site on race day, Saturday, July 17, as well as the Thursday and Friday prior for set-up.

Anyone who’d like to help out should download a volunteer sign-up form from vtnhkomen.org (under Race for the Cure tab), e-mail volunteer chair Mary Miller at marymillerlee@comcast.net or call her at (802) 362-0108. They may also call the race office at (802) 362-2733.

Through events like the Komen VT-NH Race for the Cure, the VT-NH Affiliate has netted more than $6.7 million in 18 years. Of that, more than $1.7 million supported Komen’s research program and more than $5 million underwrote breast cancer education, screening, and treatment in Vermont and New Hampshire.
