The Historical Society of Wilmington wants to thank Bill and Sharon Adams and family for an informative and interesting presentation of their farm’s history. The main focus was on the handmade tubs and tools that have been in the family for over five generations.
The wood shop was built in 1886 and all necessary tools for running a farm were handmade. Across the yard was a blacksmith shop to handle all metal work that was necessary for farm life. Bill explained how farms of that era had to be self-contained. All those in attendance were appreciative of Bill’s presentation and humor.
