To the Editor:

On May 1 our community will come together for Green Up Day, a day that each of our citizens can participate in the beautifying of our Town of Dover. Green bags can be picked up at the Dover Town Hall from 9:30 am until 1 pm. This is a day for families to work together to teach the importance of pride for one’s town and the lessons there are to learn about littering. Lunch is being donated by many of our town businesses as well as the parents of students at Dover School. A sculpture will be erected by our students using their most unusual trash found.

If you are unable to make it on May 1 and want to Green Up your area please call me at (802) 348-7284 to get green bags. The Dover Economic Development Committee beautification committee is organizing this event this year and we encourage you to participate by picking up trash along the roads in your neck of the woods.
