WILMINGTON- Stanley W. Aldrich, 68 years young, died at home on Saturday, January 16, followin a brief battle with lung cancer, with his family by his side. Mr. Aldrich was born on November 1, 1941, the son of Clarence A. and Clara (Parker) Aldrich, of Londonderry. Mr. Aldrich worked for Eiler Brothers Trucking for 15 years, R. L. Ruprecht for 13 years and Webster Trucking in Brattleboro for 16 years. Mr. Aldrich served in the United States Army for four years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, working in his garage, riding his motorcycle, truck pulls, going to and watching car races, and never missed watching wrestling on Friday nights.
Mr. Aldrich is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Alberta Spiker, his children Michael and his wife Dawn, Patsy and her husband Charlie, Christina and her husband Shannon; grandchildren Kayla, Christopher, Nick, Morgan, Erica, Trevor and Mason; and sister Hattie Hustler of Bennington. The family would like to thank VNA/Hospice of Brattleboro for all their help. A very special thank you to Greg (Moon) Adams for being there for Mr. Aldrich and making him laugh until the end and being his friend.
A remembrance gathering for Mr. Aldrich will be held on January 30 at the Dover Town Hall, from1 to 4 pm. There are no visiting hours. Burial will be held later in the spring in the family lot in South Londonderry Cemetery. If friends desire donations in Mr. Aldrich’s memory may be made to the Stanley W.
