This past Friday and Saturday, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the business and residential Bright Lights of Dover contestants. As a fairly new resident, it was fun to see our town getting in the holiday spirit. Along with my disarmingly attractive fellow judges, I visited traditional Vermont-decorated homes (candles in the window, white lights surrounding window frames, and outdoor cocktail bars) as well as child-friendly decorated homes (giant inflatable snowmen, blinking colored lights, and anxious parents making final adjustments). We experienced unique art, Mr. and Mrs. Claus snuggling, and an ever-increasing ice fountain.

Please use the tour information provided (page 13) to gather your own group and visit all the celebrants of Dover. I assure you that you will get in the holiday spirit while appreciating the wonderful town we all live in.
