To the Editor,

At our next regular March Town Meeting in Wilmington, there most likely will be a vote on whether or not to remove the pergola from its current location in the center of town. This vote will take place either on the floor during the meeting, or in the booth during normal polling hours (Australian ballot).Taking the vote by Australian ballot would also allow for the use of absentee ballots.

By law, the only way we can have this vote by Australian ballot is to vote, as a town, in advance, that that is how we will take the vote. The Australian ballot question will be voted on at a special Town Meeting in the Twin Valley High gymnasium on Tuesday, November 10, at 7 pm.

No matter how you feel about the pergola, if you may not be able to attend the regular March meeting, but would still like to have a say on the issue, please attend the November 10 meeting.

Thinks it's childish

Another vote at town meeting? Like the multiple previous votes we've had at town meeting to support and fund the creation of the park? When is this hoard of childish temper tantrum throwers going to stop asking for yet another vote, and another vote, and another vote?

How many times do you need the voters to support this project before you'll cease you wailing and kicking?

Move on already
