The paintings are by local artists Tony Conner, Joann Denhey, Jane May Jones, and John Hagearty. This exhibit also features the handmade purses and handbags created by Elaine Gilman, of Wardsboro. Featured photographers are Judith Secco and Sarah Shippee along with fiber art by Norma Abel and baskets by Regina Perrotto. Ellie Roden’s note cards of images reproduced from her pressed flowers are also available.
Local silversmith and designer Lynda Dashiell-Ohotnicky will also be exhibiting her beautiful jewelry featuring spectacular silver and pearl combinations.
Art on the Mountain is a not-for-profit organization, which raises money through volunteer efforts for the benefit of the Deerfield Valley communities: Wilmington, Whitingham, Halifax, Readsboro, Dover, and Wardsboro. Art on the Mountain donates funds to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Hospice, dental programs in the local schools, as well as many others, and they also offer monetary aid to area residents in need.
