Dover Day is coming soon and this year we have several new activities. We have added a maple syrup contest and most of the local syrup producers are donating samples. A friendly competition will give the winner bragging rights for a year. Also new this year is an old-fashioned cook kitchen with Andy McLean’s delicious baked beans and a fall-inspired recipe swap. Please bring your favorite recipe to share with your neighbors. There will also be a best-decorated-cupcake contest. Everyone is encouraged to bring a decorated cupcake. No categories, please be creative.
Some of the old favorites are also back, the jumpy house for the kids, donut-on-a-string, the three-legged race, the infamous tug-of-war, and of course the square dance in the evening with The Bills Band. As always, the food is free as well as the music. This year we are lucky to have Blind Rooster, a bluegrass band, for our entertainment. So pack up the family and come to the Dover Common for a day of fun.
See you all there.
