Many disturbing factors found in political mailings

To the Editor:

When a second glossy leaflet appeared in the mail box last week, it was clear that former representative Phil Bartlett has introduced two disturbing new factors into the campaign for the seat of representative from Windham-Bennington-1.

First, he is spending what for our district are quite large amounts of money raised outside the district, and second, he is using this money for very negative campaigning based at best on a skewed interpretation of dubious facts.

It is particularly unfortunate that such tactics are being used against John Moran, who has done a very good job representing everyone in Windham-Bennington-1 during his first term in office. He understands the issues that are important to and affect his constituents, and he works tirelessly to enact legislation that will benefit the district.

John is accessible to all his constituents, holds regular office hours in each of the towns in the district, responds quickly to questions, takes note of all suggestions and comments, and works year round for the district, not just during the legislative session.

I hope the voters in Windham-Bennington-1 will say “no” to Phil Bartlett and his negative campaigning and “yes” to another term for John Moran and his dedicated and informed hard work for his district.
