It is with tears of joy and happiness and mostly humbleness as I try yet again to thank all the many people of my world.
There is too much to thank you for and too many people to say thank you to.
But let’s start with Robert W. Backus, who got me out to Dartmouth in record time, and to Evan Ginsberg, who tried in vain to get me a helicopter. To the X-ray staff, who found my flaw and got me on the road in a hurry, and to my driver who got me to Dartmouth in one hour.
To Bernard Dupuis who is, without a doubt, the best friend a man could ever have, and Colleen Boliver, who was able to show me what unconditional love is.
To Sara Carruthers, who made sure my family was fed and checked on me every day I was at Dartmouth.
To Shola, who I’m pretty sure I called Koneshia the entire time I was there, for getting me my cough pillow (which is well signed), and for my first meal after 10 days, which ended with strawberry shortcake.
To Dr. Dacy and Dr. Dicippo, whose skilled hands delivered me back to this side for now, and to the entire nursing staff at Dartmouth, who were nothing less than phenomenal.
Now my return to Grace Cottage, yet again, they could not have been better. I will always love all of you.
To everyone who had thoughts and prayers for me, I know there were thousands. I will try to never forget any one of you if you need me.
Then there is my family, who I am quite sure I would not have survived without. They are the best family from pillar to post that anyone ever had.
P.S. I have graduated to physical therapy and occupational therapy and am currently driving the cardiac therapists crazy. Just ask Courtney, Casey, or Jeff, they will tell you.
With so much love you can’t believe,
Warren Bartlett
