TOWNSHEND- During the month of August, Taft Hill Collection and Art Gallery is featuring the pottery of Matthew Tell, of Marlboro. Outdoor pieces such as garden stools and birdbaths are on display, as well as large bowls, trays, and decorative vessels. Tell’s designs, inspired by the Green Mountains of Vermont, are decorated with earth-tone glaze overlays; these are then fired in a wood kiln that enhances the properties of each individual piece.

The show will be on exhibit from 10 am to 5 pm, Mondays through Saturdays during the month of August. The Taft Hill Collection and Art Gallery features blown glass by Robert DuGrenier, Crest Studios hand-painted glassware and china, as well as an eclectic mix of gifts and accessories for the home and garden.

Taft Hill Collection and Art Gallery is located at 1096 Vermont Route 30, one mile south of Townshend village center and four miles north of Newfane center.
