Jacksonville- Richard Allen Dix Jr, 39, a resident of Route 100 died July 16 at his home.

Mr. Dix was born in Bennington on December 14, 1969, the son of Richard Allen Dix Sr. and Carol Jean Nadeau. He attended school in Whitingham, was a graduate of Whitingham High School, and was a self- employed painter in the Deerfield Valley area for many years.

Mr. Dix enjoyed four-wheeling and motorcycles. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and hanging out with all his friends. He enjoyed hunting, boating, ice fishing, and liked going to and participating in demolition derbies. He also enjoyed country and classic rock music and cherished times spent with family and friends, especially his niece Natasha who was the apple of his eye.

Mr. Dix is survived by his mother Carol Dix, of Brattleboro; his brother, Jeremy Dix, of Whitingham; his grandmother, Geneva (Ginky)Dix; his niece, Natasha; his former wife, Kathleen Dix; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Dix were held Tuesday, July 21, at the Jacksonville Cemetery.
